Miguel Castanho is full professor of Biochemistry at the School of Medicine, University of Lisbon (Portugal), and principal investigator at the Institute of Molecular Medicine, Lisbon, Portugal. He is the coordinator of the Physical Biochemistry Unit and his main research interests relate to antibody and peptide-lipid interactions. HIV fusion inhibitors, antimicrobial peptides, cell-penetrating peptides, analgesic peptides and amyloidogenic peptides are among the molecules under study.
