    The 7th Cell Biology in Environmental Toxicology will take place from 5 to 9 June 2006 in Bilbao, Spain. The course will consist of both lectures and laboratory practicals. A total of 12 lectures and 16 hours practicals have been planned (34 hours in total). All lectures will be held in English. The course is directed to postgraduate or PhD students aiming to become especialized in the field of environmental toxicology, with a focus in cell and molecular biology tools and concepts.     The 6th International ELMI Meeting and Workshop in Advance Light Microscopy will take place from 30th of May to 2nd of June of 2006 in Ofir, Portugal. The meeting is promoted by the European Light Microscopy Initiative (ELMI) and will be focused on the most recent advances on light microscopy applied to molecular and cell biology. This event offers a great opportunity for young researchers to interact with senior scientists, to learn about new technical developments in light microscopy and to discuss future needs with company representatives. The meeting will consist of talks by experts in light microscopy related subjects, short presentations from selected attendees, poster sessions and workshops held by microscopy companies. The session topics will include: Advances in optical microscopy; New probes and imaging tools; Image processing; Microscopy of live cells; Protein dynamics and molecular interactions; Nanoimaging; Whole tissue and live animal imaging.
