Graça Soveral is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lisbon, where she Outreaching activities Clinical Biochemistry and Human Nutrition. She is group leader (Biological Transport) at Research Institute for Medicines (iMed.ULisboa). Her main research area is Membrane Transport, with special emphasis on water and solute transport and osmoregulation in mammalian and yeast cells. Current research is focused on transport systems as targets for drug action in diseases whose etiology might be supported by transporters dysfunction or aberrant expression.
