The Clinical Biochemistry Thematic Group (CBTG) brings together researchers from basic and applied sciences encouraging the interaction between Biochemistry and Medicine. CBTG aims enhancing the knowledge translation from biochemistry recent research discoveries to clinical practice.
Biological processes and biomarkers in health and disease are the focus of this group. Several topics such as aging and non-communicable chronic diseases, with emphasis on neurological, cardiovascular, immunological, and metabolic dysfunctions are highlighted.
How?
- By promoting interactions between biochemistry and clinical practice;
- By encouraging the development of innovative research;
- By disseminating the new discoveries through regular biannual CBTG workshops;
- By supporting young students participate in molecular life sciences congresses, including the biannual SPB Congress and the FEBS annual congress.
